Management & Staff
The day to day operation of the Home is the responsibility of Linda Carruthers, our Care Manager. Linda has been with Newark Care for over 15 years and has deep knowledge and understanding of the social and health care needs of our residents. Linda is supported by a team of qualified Nurses, Senior Support Workers and Support Workers registered with the SSSC – all with various SVQ Level 2, 3 and 4 in Health & Social Care – all delivering holistic, quality care round-the-clock. Over 70% of our care staff hold a formal qualification in Health & Social Care, considerably more than stipulated by the local authority.
The home is also complimented by qualified Catering Team, which does not only cook and serve meals as per residents’ wishes but also have a clear understanding of every residents’ dietetic requirements. Westacres have a dedicated Housekeeping Team and a full time Building and Maintenance Person.
All staff receive training in Newark Care’s philosophy and values. Our arrangements for staff recruitment, training and supervision accord with the latest Government guidance and reflect best practice.
